Elisabeth Esterl is a former German #1 lady golfer and played for 17 years on the Ladies European Tour. During her career, in which time she won 3 tournaments, finished 2nd on the Order of Merit in 2003 and represented Europe twice (once as travelling reserve) in the Solheim Cup, ‘Liesl’ became well-known for her extravagant and colourful style of dress.

Neil Webb is a PGA Club Professional from northern England. He qualified with the PGA in 1994 after completion of his training at Pannal G.C in Harrogate and journeyed to coaching stations at the Emirates G.C in Dubai and several clubs in Germany until Summer 2008. Coaching became less attractive as a means of earning a living, and it no longer inspired him, and Neil moved into the retail side of the golf industry with a new role in clothing and equipment sales in Dubai. A 2 time UAE PGA Championship winner and with 3 consecutive Dubai Desert Classic qualifier wins, Neil is also an accomplished professional.

A chance meeting at Emirates Golf Club at the Dubai Ladies Masters at the end of 2008 saw the start of the couple's journey together, and also the beginning of their move into the world of textiles and apparel as a team. After Elisabeth was involved in creating a small collection for the local Dubai company for whom Neil was working, Elisabeth discovered her passion for design and creation and began looking for ways to create something that more represented her style.

Solheim Cup 2003

"Probably the best shot I ever hit in my career."

In the ensuing years and up to present day, Liesl and Neil have continued to develop their design and production skills. The quest to find the right partners that they need in order to create the look and feel required to satisfy their own high standards has been at times testing, but also very successful.

Production on the very first sample pieces began on an extremely limited scale in Dubai and sales were meagre, but the company fire was well lit. Nowadays, the couple produce Esterl Golf by Elisabeth Esterl in the north of Portugal, where they create every product from scratch. From the early Dubai times when the company originally known as DOT (Until 2015) then as E2 by Elisabeth Esterl (until 2019) to the present, where the name Esterl Golf uses Elisabeth’s memorable and unique surname, the couples' passion is stronger than ever to produce great apparel.

The newest collections target those who enjoy comfortable, trendy and performance golf clothing with a twist, and the fabrics and concepts used come from long experience within professional sport.

All Elisabeth Esterl products are created by the couple and a small team with whom they work, the ranges are growing rapidly and are of an exceptional standard. In 2022 the focus is much more on creating Polo’s and dresses with matching basics and the focus will be mainly on the ladies golf market and making quality our best habit. It’s not something that we just strive for – we live by this principle every day.
